RC12LW main shock source?

Post by GeneralZod »

I am nearly complete with my RC12LW restoration. One item I am missing is the main shock. I see that Tower Hobbies has a older shock kit listed but it says out of stock. I am looking at other possibilities and was wondering if the latest RC12R6 shock kit here would fit the LW? https://www.hobbytown.com/rc12r6-shock-kit-by-team-associated-asc4780/p679756

It looks to be a bit long when fully assembled. Is there a spacer that can be removed so it comes closer to fitting the old 12LW?

I can probably come up with aa shock from my Delta stash which who I think made the original shock, I only have the black ball ends but maybe you can source the white somewhere else. Let me know by pm.

there is the blue version of the vcs micro shock if cant find original silver? usually around 15-16 for a full vcs shock kit on the ebay.
