Unfortunately not. I’m putting together the Purple Nurple RC10T currently to raise some more funds for the build.

Thanks for the kind words.

I have the painted replica body and wing (eBay), the proper motor, receiver, and speed control. Even the right wheels and tires.

The obvious and most difficult item will be the shocks. We’ll see what I can come up with.

Looks good so far.

Gotta drill a couple holes on the tower to attach the antenna tube with a zip-tie.

And I fully expect you will be custom mixing 20wt and 30wt shock oil like he did. Because using 25wt is way too easy :D

I did a few more things on my Cliff Lett build today. I got the shocks as good as I can. They’re not 100% but I’m happy.

Turning out great. Still need to drill a couple holes in the rear tower for the antenna tube though.

I talked to a place about doing type 3 hard coat clear ano. Sent them a couple shock sets and see how they turn out. Not cheap though....

EDIT: You know, I think this is the closest anyone on the board has actually come to finishing this replica. A lot of guys have tried it.... or said they were anyway. The shocks are the achilles heel, for quite a few replicas of the era.

Looks awesome. So what did you end up doing for those shock caps?

Looks very good :)

And why did they prep their shock caps to such crazy levels? It's just a shock cap after all, not a shock body... I mean, there's a ball joint of some kind up there, but still
