Yeah, probably, as far as having to remove the trans to change the spur, we discussed it earlier in the thread. It's a tradeoff of the no-cut mid motor conversion, but I think it's a worthwhile compromise for most people.

Yeah, once thinking about it last night it made kinda sense to have to remove it...hence the "bolt in" part of the name. Kinda implies no fabrications

So I now have what I believe to be the final version of the trans case and bulkhead, as well as the motor plate spacers and motor plate (prototype version), and the tower.














I started machining a motor plate that I can actually run. Once I finalize that design I'll have them CNC'd. The square edges on the prototype are just for ease of machining.


Basically now, I just have to finish machining the prototype motor plate and then assemble the car. Then it's off to the track to see how it does. Barring any final changes after track testing, I'll make the parts available to anyone who wants to build one.

I finished making the prototype motor plate then started building a test mule. I decided to use a CE rather than the fluorescent yellow chassis I had been mocking everything up on. I'll probably save it to build one once everything is finalized. The CE is pretty nice, except for that big notch some genius put in the left side of the pan, and some typical scratched on the bottom... perfect for a runner/test mule!

Pretty much all that's left now is to wire up the ESC, bind the receiver, and then take if for a spin! I should be bringing it to the track a week from tonight.





Oh, one other thing, I want to design a brace for the rear motor guard, similar to the one I had on my original mid motor RC10 I built.
