Good evening from Kentucky

Post by Swipe555 »

Getting back into rc cars after 20 years. I started piecing together a vintage rc10 when I was 14 and never finished because it was a little too expensive for a 14yo's income. While looking up ideas for a fun hobby I can do without a garage, I saw that Team Associated is selling reproduction classic rc10's and it inspired me to finish mine.

After surfing this site a bit, I've figured out that my chassis is stamped with an A, and has never been drilled for the stealth transmission, nor does it have any other (not original) holes drilled in it. It is scratched up some on the bottom, but that's virtually unavoidable unless it's left on a shelf its entire life.

Since it's never been drilled for the stealth tranny, I plan on keeping it that way. I'm sure I'll still be able to make it fast enough to be plenty enjoyable.

I'm in the same boat, jumping back in after a long layoff. Look forward to seeing some pictures.

Thank you thank you. I have a bit of work ahead of me. I'm starting with a dirty a heck, mostly stripped chassis and a box of random parts. Looks like I have two transmissions, most of the plastic parts, lots of machine screws/nuts, and a bunch of random parts I haven't gone through yet.
