Re: Kyosho Turbo Scorpion 2016
Oh wow... That Lemans motor is sick. I've been wanting a current Lemans brushless and have been searching for the elusive Lemans gold brushless but I'll be getting this one instead.
Thank you Kyosho.
Thank you Kyosho.

Re: Kyosho Turbo Scorpion 2016
I wonder at which point they will reissue a chassis (Lazer) that might outperform their current offering...mikea96 wrote:Wow that looks great! Wonder if we will see the optima mid line?

Seriously, I suppose we will see an Ultima reissue before we see a Optima Mid reissue.

Re: Kyosho Turbo Scorpion 2016
I would Love to see a full series of Classic le mans motors 480 gold speed and touque, 240 sb and all the others

Re: Kyosho Turbo Scorpion 2016
I second your idea. Love to see the Lemans series coming back.Twister wrote:I would Love to see a full series of Classic le mans motors 480 gold speed and touque, 240 sb and all the others

IMO we're more likely to see re-re MID series before re-re Ultima.EvolutionRevolution wrote:mikea96 wrote:

Because the suspension, differentials and stabilizers(plastic parts) are interchangeable with Optima 2016 , those toolings can be shared.

Re: Kyosho Turbo Scorpion 2016
I don't know...I think the Optima and Optima Mid are very different cars. About the only thing that's the same are the suspension arms and some related parts. The chassis, gearbox, top deck & belt system, steering system, parts for shock towers & bumper, stabilizers, wing mount, the way the suspension arms are pinned...practically EVERYTHING is different. The Ultima shares more parts in common with the Optima than the Optima Mid does.
Completed projects: CYANide Onroad Optima | Zebra Gold Optima | Barney Optima | OptiMutt RWD Mid

Re: Kyosho Turbo Scorpion 2016
Even the arms are different (unless the re-re Optima uses Mid arms). Of the top of my head, the bits that are the same are some of the steering parts, rear diff internals + front diff (+ belt on SWB?), outdrives, axles, front and rear hub carriers, c-hubs, linkages, some small plastic parts, and some of the screws.
Ah, I know something I'd like to see reissued: Kyosho SuperTen FW-03 and FW-04.

Re: Kyosho Turbo Scorpion 2016
You never know with Kyosho.. First they do nothing although 50th year anniversary but now we got optimas and turbo scorpions
Logically they would release a Ultima next year to celebrate Romsey world champs but then again it's Kyosho
But they could release the whole 1980s collection- i would not mind
i will buy them all, but a optima mid turbo would be my favorite

Re: Kyosho Turbo Scorpion 2016
Whether MID comes first or not, Kyosho has to do the re-re business quick because we are getting older and older.
Those who know Ultima or MID series are normally 40 years old or above.

Yes, but old people usually got money to spend. And 40 year old guys are usually nostalgic so Kyosho are on the right track
But you are right, they could hurry up and release any car

Re: Kyosho Turbo Scorpion 2016
Huh? Is the front arm shaft even wider than the Re-re Scorpion?
Besides the tires, is there anything that was not available as an option part already?
Well, except for the body and roof that is...
