Re: RC10T - Adam's modern build
I'm doing a modern build now as well. Did u figure out what your going to do as far as the axles for newer wheels? I'm wondering if I can fit the rc10 worlds cva ends on the old style cva? I have a set somewhere that I'm going to look at and see if it's possivle

Re: RC10T - Adam's modern build
I have not gotten that far yet. I may not convert mine to modern wheels. If I do, I was planning on changing out the hubs to modern hubs with modern drives, which would fit right up to modern wheels.Shiesty2000 wrote:I'm doing a modern build now as well. The fronts are another challenge, and have not even looked at that yet.

Re: RC10T - Adam's modern build
A few small changes. I wanted the option to run modern slippers, but you cannot simply swap a new B4 shaft into the RPM transmission, because the gear ratio is different from the Stealth. I removed the gear ring from the RPM shaft, did the same with a new B4 shaft, and pressed the B4 gear ring onto the RPM shaft. Now I can use the RPM transmission and still have a shaft that accepts new style slipper setups. I went with a Avid slipper setup.

Re: RC10T - Adam's modern build
I rearranged the electronics layout in a bid to clean it up. I was able to shorten the motor leads by switching the the esc, and re-routing the wires.

Avid Triad if I recall correctly. I have one on my RC10T5M and love it.

Re: RC10T - Adam's modern build
I went back and read the entire thread and I don't think this was ever answered. They look like MIP aluminum bones to me, quite rare as far as I can tell and not terribly strong, but good for stock racing though.
Some good parts went into his truck.

Aluminum MIP CVD's. Quite rare. This truck will likely never be driven for real, so they are doing their job by looking good.

Re: RC10T - Adam's modern build
What battery hold downs are you using? And also, I'm searching for an transmission gear box upgrade to handle brushless power. Aparantly, the stealth from a few years ago has been discontinued. Searched around including ebay, I'm hitting a dead end.

I just edited my post after you answered me about the hold downs. I'm searching for a transmission upgrade, I'm hitting a dead end. I need something to handle brushless power.
