I have a grey RPM trans with an 87 tooth spur gear, what would be a good start with a pinion count on a rere gold pan with maybe a 3800 brushless ? and doeas anyone have a copy of the assy instructions for thr RPM trans?

The gray transmission was designed for oval/on road use it has a ratio of 1.96:1
the Original stealth ratio is 2.25:1
With that said It's not going to have much low end tourqe but a ton of topend.
If you're just going to run it around on the street for fun you should use a small pinion that way you can minimize the risk of burning up a motor if you get throttle happy for long periods of time.
