Nose plate question... Moving front bulkheads further
RC10 nose plate... let me ask this. Has anyone moved the front bulkhead/shock tower pieces forward more?

The entire plate? Yes...
Just the bulkheads further forward on the nose plate? No
Just the bulkheads further forward on the nose plate? No
Re: Nose plate question... Moving front bulkheads further
I was thinking of doing just the bulkheads as i wouldnt have to get longer tubes.

Problem is the arms would sit higher so the car would sit lower. I heard someone ask a similar question recently and it makes sense, you would need a full wing arm to make it work.
You can use the second set of holes in the nose plate to get an extra 1/2". Brian has nose tubes he made to allow this, look on here in the Conklin design area. He made them for the Ten4 but they are the same and he sells them cheap.

Does the buggy chassis not have a second hole for the long wheelbase nose?

Ahh I see. What about truck nose brace tubes? Same length? Does the chassis itself have two holes or just one?

Re: Nose plate question... Moving front bulkheads further
The factory nose tubes are plenty long enough to drill and tap new holes to run the nose plate in the long position (if you have the old style nose plate to do so, of course).
Also, Sassy's rc10 chassis had the arm mount holes drilled further forward on the kick-up, and Raborn's oval chassis had 2 set of holes to move the front suspension forward or back (stock position).

couldnt you just adjust ride height to compensate for the ride height change?
also if any one has done this what pros and cons did you see? i would think it would make the car a tad more stable in the rough and better approach angle on jumps.
