Here is my early car I got a few years back and cleaned up. Chassis is too far gone for a shelfer so I just use it. It is my oldest car in my collection :)

I put a radio set scavenged from a Nitro TC3 in it and a few other bits I had laying around. I have as of yet not gotten a body or a gear cover for it due to all the other projects, but I will eventually pick up some rere pieces for it. And yes, I do use it with the mechanical speed control just because it is unique... and keep the tamiya plug because I am a masochist maybe? lol All the other cars get deans :)

I swap to it's original bald tires onroad and the champ wheels offroad.

Here's my street basher, built from spare parts (thanks Knucklebuster for the transmission), and a few re-re's. Basically a stock 6 gear. The rear shock tower is hand made from G-10 to use short shocks (DS style), 3/16 axle kit, and a cheapie 13.5 brushless...

Russ, glad to hear the 6 gear is up and running. LMK if/when you clip a mailbox and need parts... I owe you
