A list of "where are they now" bodies/molds

Post by rraeford »

Here's my list of bodies I wish were still available. I didn't include any that are currently available from the great white north or the soon to be available ones from Sabula Tech. If anyone can help locate these, please don't keep it a secret. Here is the list.

1/12 bodies
Bolink Arundle GT
Bolink Oldsmobile Aerotech
Associated Ferrari Boxer
Associated Porsche 917/30 KL
Manufacturer unknown - Rondeau M 379 - never actually seen one of these but I have a photo of one somewhere.

1/10 bodies
Bolink Shelby Can Am
Pro-Line Single Seat Buggy Body

There may be a better place to list this but since most are on-road bodies I thought this was best.

Of course, my favorite all time 1/12 body is the Parma Osella. Thanks to Stormer Hobbies, this body is still available. Question, some years ago I ordered several 1/12 scale bodies from Associated that were not listed in any of their online materials. I called them and was told that for a certain minimum order, they would pull OOP bodies if the bucks were still serviceable. With all of the nostalgic RC10 stuff, I wonder if they would still do this. Anyone ever try this?

Most of the old Bolink molds are owned by Windtunnel Racing. They'll remake any of them.

Thanks fredswain. I emailed them and they said they don't have those specific molds. I will send an email to RJ Speed. Rick Jordan made a lot of those molds. He may be able to help. It's always possible that the molds were damaged, lost or destroyed. Funny how they turn up here and there except (with a couple of exceptions) the ones I am looking for.
