So, the original truck nose plate becomes the template for where to drill the holes for the buggy nose plate. The 3 new holes in the chassis re moved back about 12mm. Which can be confirmed by measuring the 2 sets of nose tube holes that are about 12mm apart from each other. So everything shifts backwards 12 mm, and you chop off 12 mm from the front of the chassis. Does all this sound correct?
