Picked up a partialy new built #9000 B2 early this year that was about 65% complete. Some of the hard to find parts were present but the other 35% seemed to be hard to locate. I've had older projects than this that were a lot easier to complete. Decided to try and replicate the instruction manual pictures as far as electronics and set up. Grueling task as far as locating things was the Reedy cells, LRP esc, and decent condition Sonic motor. Never did find a Airtronics 94155 servo so the futaba that is in it will do for now. Very fun build that definitely tested my patients Would like to find an original B2 body if I can. I'll post more on that in another 6 months when I find one Hope you enjoy.

If things seem under control, you are just not going fast enough.
Looks amazing!
I know how hard it is to find the parts. I myself is a big fan of the B2's.
There is a repo B2 Team body from UK on the bay. Do not know how quality is though.
Finding parts must be a pain, I've never seen any on the pegs. Getting RC10 parts, even before the re-re thing, was always decent enough because they made a jillion of them in all the various designes well into the 90's, and the parts supply for my B4 is dwindeling. The B2 must be hard, like ebay only hard. No?
I did like the looks of the B2 and B3 better than my B4, due to the split front shock tower and more realistic style body.
Found out the hard way...a few of the original B2 parts are very hard to find...like a miracle when they even show up on eBay...
Someday I might get mine completed...
I've long been tempted by the B2 (...because it's very similar to the Losi XX) but there doesn't appear to be too many about and parts are few and far between, and/or very expensive. Take this for example....
any numbers as far as how many were made??? if they are so hard to come by/rare, why do they sell on the cheap side??? one sold on ebay nib for $335 and one sold new build for $100???
I haven't built one of these since I was 16-this is a later kit than I had when I was a kid, it had an update bulletin in the box and black servo horns, servo posts, 3 hole rear arms where mine only had 2 and holes drilled in the chassis for a MSC...

scolded not once, but twice ... I am ashamed.
Just change all the 2's to 3's and its perfect..... Not like you did anything stupid like double posting. I cant stand it when people are dumb enough to do that
I'm new to RC buggies and happened across an Associated RC10B2 with a broken front upper. Since I'm assuming they dont make the parts anymore, where would be a good place to find replacement parts? Also, which parts are interchangeable with...

That's some good advice. Thank you! I'll look to convert it to the B3.
I went to local track yesterday to get some parts and really got bitten by the driving bug. And none of my RC10's are still driveable and all are waiting for parts so I decided to build my RC10B2. I will retire it as soon as I get something else...

I changed the front axles to wide #7222 ones and went for a drive. With 27 brushed motor it was really slow but after so long break it was still fast enough. Hard to say how the car handled as my driving skills were totally lost. But as it now looks...
Over the summer I stopped at a yard sale and found this vintage Team Associated RC10B2 Factory Team buggy kit with 3 sets of wheels/tires, 3 Futaba transmitters(with only one battery holder that is missing a tab) 2 chargers, 5 random cans of paint,...

the red parts are from a RC10T, someone dyed them.
Just now getting back into RC cars, had a Tamiya Fox back in '85, and new to the forum. I have acquired a RC10B2 and am in the process of rebuilding it. Besides shocks everything is stock with the exception of the FT Low Friction Ball Cups...

Are there any shock ends that fit the front of the B2 that don’t have a plastic pivot ball?
Traxxas 2742X is close. A little filing or sanding would probably be enough.
Awesome! I didn't think anyone would respond since last post was from...
