Ultima II with x-cellerator body
This utlima streetchassis I converted to the ultima II buggy has been sitting on my shelf half-finished for about a year.
I tried a couple different bodies and it ended up with a flaking beat-up losi XX body.
When I ordered some fresh lexan from TBG for a couple projects, getting this one an upgrade was high on my list.
Here' the result:
The golden pinstripes I got from an automotive store and were real easy to work with... I predict some more boies with these in my
future.
The can of candy purple pactra turned out to splatter, so I quit using it after I got a bit of a pattern and then backed it up with red instead of white.
Not entirely what I had in mind but close enough.
A little custom trimming for the gearcover and for the moterguard; should I have one left some day
Perfect fit on the kelron chassis, don't you agree?

Re: Ultima II with x-cellerator body
That's a very nice fit...but I find that body's mold rather featureless.

Re: Ultima II with x-cellerator body
I understand what you're saying.
The original xx body was even simpler, almost boring. That's why I picked the x-cellerator with it's profiled roof. The airscoop bothered me though, so I raised the lowerline of the side windows.
Now that big design line was uncluttered, I could stress it with the pinstripes.
