pulled apart a diff from a YR4M2 only to find its rusted to hell. are there any compatible diffs out there that will fit?

You'd be surprised how you can get some badly rusted parts back to life. Try to soak it in WD40 overnight, then wipe it gently and use a steel wool pad to clean it.
