My Vintage RC10 Racer
For this build I'll start with a “Cadillac” roller and finish with vintage hop up parts. Ultimately, I want it to be similar to a racer from the early 90s.
Parts so far:
Cadillac roller
Andy’s wide track front arms
Andy’s light weight rear arms
Dirt burners Thorp turnbuckles
JRX2 XX rear tires
Proline knobby front tires
Aluminum Tamiya Fox wheels adapted for RC10
Up next:
Custom machined chassis
Stealth transmission

Wow, very nice! Love those wheels. Is it going to be a shelfer or will you run it?

Re: My Vintage RC10 Racer
I may end up racing this one. If I do, of course I'll use newer components. For example a Brushless 17.5 system, different wheels, and re release shocks that I assembled this morning.

Re: My Vintage RC10 Racer
Looks great, one of my favorite paint schemes. Also used on the the now discontinued Pactra paint stand artwork!

Re: My Vintage RC10 Racer
Decided to make this build a display car so I’m keeping original shocks. The Remaining hop-up parts will be old school as well.
I’m going to replace the chassis with this one that I found on eBay. The seller reports it was given to him by J.D. Beckwith. Well used and custom machined. Clearly a “racers” chassis.
