A&L CUSTOM TEAM TRUCK #5 OF 5
thanks to daryl lane for this very special opportunite to buy this truck/chassis from him. its a custom a&l team truck which this is #5 of 5 made. here is some info about his truck:
These are some pictures of a every dirty A&L Custom Team Truck Chassis I have had in an open box in the rafters of the Garage. Sorry for the dirt - will clean off for some more shots later.
Time frame on this was early 90's and also turned out that the first big race it ran was the same race Associated daubed their new RC10T they had three at the race we had two. Western Off-Road Championships Florida. Forget the exact year, believe Cliff got first Brain running for us and Proline got third or second? too long ago...
* AutoCad designed chassis hand cut out of .125" 20 degree kit up blank, on router table and Port-a-cable 3/4hp router. Using high speed carbon steel 4 flute .125" bit. This is how we cut all our custom Graphite pieces.
* Top plate .060" same as the chassis
* Front and Rear Shock towers the same
* A&L Lethal Weapon, Steering, Trailing arms
* Mip universals for ??
* Front arms? ones on the truck now are RPM Kyosho arms do not remember what I used in the beginning?
* Front bulkhead Kyosho Ultima
* Body was the A&L Slam it Low in custom team colors.
Top photo is a pro shoot we had done for adds - unfortunately we were never able to put the truck into production..

Re: A&L CUSTOM TEAM TRUCK #5 OF 5
here is some more info he sent me on these trucks and some pics of his truck that he still owns:
They are made to use Losi JRX or Ultima front bulk heads front arms and front towers were different. I liked the Andy's HD Ultima front arms, spindles and caster blocks. Chassis are drilled for our A&L Ultima steering kits.
We set these up for both Ultima and RC10 rear trialing arms, once MIP started making universals we would kit bash them to get the width and combos we wanted. These trucks some times changed weekly - at least mine did as I was testing things out. Chassis 5 has Ultima trailing arms on it currently, I believe it was the one I keep and ran. I have new parts as in steering, trailing arm and Ultima LW's. As you may need - not sure what you may already have in your boxes of parts . . . LOL. Daryl
