T2 number 5
I was going to post this in my hoarding thread but it's pretty cool. I was going to use this as a runner, I thought about proper box art but chose different as it's not a new build.

Re: T2 number 5
Thanks guys,
I'm really happy how it turned out and think it looks the part. I assembled the truck from left over parts from the other four T2's and a many thanks to Todd and littlevette for a few parts to complete it. The splash of color on the side is more red but looks pink in the photos for some reason.
I was going to run the heck out of it but thinking I may run it on the local onroad track to keep the body nice. I remember capitola hobbies in CA running stadium trucks onroad back in the day and it looked like a lot of fun, plus it's something different. The lipo battery issue is a bit of a bummer as I don't want to modify anything to fit a battery. The truck has a modest set up 8.5T which should give plenty of power without going overkill and good run times. I've run the same combo heavily boosted/turbo in a T4 and it was way too fast to be fun, it would peel the tires to no end and the smallest bump or pebble would send it 200' down the street on its lid.

Re: T2 number 5
Tell me more about the lipo's not fitting. I just picked up a T2 with no battery strap and was going to get one off the Bay. If the original strap is a no go, should I use the RC10 battery cup? I was building my truck to run at the 2015 VONATS so being box stock is not necessary for me.

What lipo issue?pumpkinfish wrote:Tell me more about the lipo's not fitting. I just picked up a T2 with no battery strap and was going to get one off the Bay. If you want the battery to sit flat you have to cut the center of the battery strap mount attached to the chassis.RC10th wrote:Thanks guys,

AE has some bodies of the T2 left, I suggest you order as it could be a couple months before they are back in stock.

Ha ha, yes another one.littleVETTE wrote:another one rj?? SMH...LOL
it's looks sweet!
I had nearly enough truck parts left over to build another truck and was weighing up another GT or T2. For the GT I'd need a trans/brake set up and engine mounts, so I opted for the T2. Now that I've used up nearly everything extra there will be no more .

Nice paint, one of the best colour choices I have seen!

Re: T2 number 5
I can officially call this one done! Many thanks to Jason for the last major piece of my crazy puzzle. My stadium trucks are all done now and I'm at a happy place with them.
This one isn't perfect but is very clean. The only item I wish to change is to put a stock gear cover on it.
