Never heard of it but I'm not a Kyosho guy. Was thinking of cleaning it up and seeing if I could get a repo sticker made up for it and using it in my Kyosho Scorpion RE-RE shelf queen.

The 480 Gold would be fine in the new Scorpion. I restored mine years ago when I restored the Zebra Optima, but I found it wasn't very torquey, at least not in a 4WD on 7.2V NiCad batteries. It strangely wasn't rated for 8.4V use, but I can't really see why not; it had all the goodies that the best Le Mans motors had, including alloy endbell and bearings. I ended up installing it in the Marui Galaxy I resto-modded for my brother.THE H.P FREAK wrote:HI!... So I was going through some RC motors tonight and came across this. First photo has the specs.THE H.P FREAK wrote:HI!... So the 480 Gold was a good motor back in the day? Kinda like the Tamiya Technagold 540 vz? How many turn was it rated for?
Sorry Boss, I posted the photo direct so it would be easier to find.THE H.P FREAK wrote:HI!... O.k the motor spec link disappeared?????
It's also linked in my second link a few posts before...didn't you read that info?THE H.P FREAK wrote:HI!... O.k the motor spec link disappeared?????
I'm clueless about the label but if it were me I'd put some new bearings and brushes in it and use it. Looks like it would make a nice motor for the re-re.THE H.P FREAK wrote:HI!... O.k thanks. I'm just being retarded tonight. lol! Anyway I can get a repo motor decal for this 480 Gold motor? I'd really like to use it in my Scorpion re-re build.
