Lazer XZ-R

Finally got around to putting the blue Lazer arms to use.
It´s one big mash-up of parts from the Lazer line.
GS rod ends in blue and a pair of blue alloy porn uj´s
Ball raced steering, geared rear diff - ball diff at front, one way pulley on the front belt.

Can´t name the spurgear, but it´s got a POM middle section wich doubles as friction slipper pads.

I have no clue on the brand, but they are std. lazer/optima length. Let me know if You still need a measurement.

Where did you get the wishbones from, are they alloy or blue nylon I couldn't quite make out

I have a set of blue drive shafts too but mine are the longer length like the W-5063 ZX-R MKII items however the extra length is between the bearing area and the universal rather than the shaft and they foul on standard C-hubs so they useless unless I enlarge the opening. They do work on a pair of alloy hubs I have but those hubs don't have the extra hole for the wide front end configuration, I have no idea what brand they are or if maybe they are for a different car

how come you are using optima mid hingepins with e clips ? and did you make that front arm brace yourself.

All the used front arm braces I have, seems to have had the pins torn out of them, even an Option House alloy brace.
So when building this one, I drilled a new set of braces - should it ever fall of the shelf

Those might be for the Kyosho Superten. There's an option for the FW-03 that uses larger bearings on the inside of the hub (so the CVD can fit further into it), IIRC.

I will post a pic later on tonight but can say that it takes standard bearings there is just a gap between the bearing section and where the UJ section starts

Nice, brings back memories including those wishbones, they flexed a lot but did look good.
