Got my two tonight!
One will be a runner, the other a queen! Looking forward to building when I get settled!

I ordered mine yesterday from Amain. So sweet looking thing that I just had to get it.

Re: Kyosho now on the re-re bandwagon - Scorpion
I am so tempted
But if I do, I will have to add almost the complete option list, of which right now only a few seem to be available...
Is this the sting of the Scorpion? Is it slowly poisoning my mind to coerce me into buying it? Does anyone else have issues where being confronted with pictures of the Scorpion 2014 the pictures seem to be wailing "Buu-uuu-uuuy me-eee-eee!-!-!" at them? I have yet to find mysterious ethereal tire traces in front of my door and chassis prints on my windows after mysterious and creepy noises in the night, but I won't be surpirsed when it happens.
As long as it stays out of my bed.

Would anyone be willing to confirm if the rims are plastic or nylon?

Watch out for the screws that attach the rollbar to the body:

And no, I didn't overtighten it. The screw was only halfway threaded in when I heard a "snap" and the plastic split. The other side is OK.

I can tell by eyeball that the screw is the wrong size!
Did you hold it up to the size chart on the back page like you're supposed to?
Really, sorry for you on that, & thanks for the Head's-Up (I haven't screwed mine on yet, luckily.....) Chris REC

HI!... Heat screw up, then screw it in. Prevents that.

It's absolutely the right screw. It's the same as the other side. I looked more closely, and on the other side there's a mold line running right where it split - must have been weaker on one side than the other.
Heating up the screw would have been a good idea. Oh well, it's going to be run anyway. I'll just reinforce it somehow.

That does suck.
I wonder if you could get a replacement sent out to you.
Seems like a manufacturing fault.
I will be very careful with mine. Thanks for posting.

They should've manufactured it out of solid aluminum tubing instead of plastic.
