This replaces my old badger, now I can start painting properly again !!! It's been a long time since I used a AB but will get some practice in over this week, I have 8 bodies to paint !
I meant to add that I too bought the Eclipse too. Did a fair amount of research on which brush performed the best and the Iwata was always the top of the heap.

It's been a long time since I bought an airbrush so I did a lot of research before I purchased one. The thing that always popped up on top of the heap was the iwata's. It's got a real good feel to it and the balance is nice plus the body seems to be made out of SS, I'm not sure though. I really like the warranty, 5 years! You don't find many things anymore that come with more than a 1 year warranty.
I have one of those, got it last year at walmart.
It does a good job at shooting the parma fascolor paints. I've only used it to do solid colors, no fancy stuff.
It should work out to be cheaper than the pactra rattle cans and without the bad odor. It comes with a compressor adaptor so you don;t have to buy te $$ canned air. I have it hooked up to the 21gal compressor in the garage, slightly overkill, but I was able to paint the 5-b with several coats without the compressor kicking on once.

You mean these guys never dominated???
I use to use one of these and it actually worked
I have been using a Badger 150 for years. How does the Iwata compare? I could never afford one.

I bet they make more money on those cans of air than anything else they sell. I painted several models with different types of paint and it did a good job for me. I think I still have one in the top of my dads garage. I did the same thing you did though. I hooked it up to the air compressor.
He's an idiot. Comes from upbringing. His parents are probably idiots too.
Being the first time in a long time using an airbrush, it being one I've never used before, and starting this one way too late last night I think it turned out decent. I've just about got this Iwata figured with air pressure and needle settings so the next one will be better....much better .
First is Mike Czech, he is the "support guy" for Faskolor Paints from parma. If you contact them for help, you get mike czech.
Here is his site, he's a friendly guy, he has helped me getting a hang of the faskolor paints cause honestly, without using windex and alcohol to water them down, they turn out like crap. http://czech-it-out-graphics.com/
Other is a Site he refered me to for general airbrushing, good source of people and resources there http://www.cfxpaintworks.com/
when it comes to r/c, i most definitely am not.
going by the thousands of build updates posted here everyday (<---- sarcasm  ), i'm not the only one.......

I'm pretty motivated at the moment because everything is sort of falling into place. When I finish my 1/12 scales it's back to the offroad, which will most likely demotivate me again, which is why I currently turned my focus on the 1/12ths.
I am currently putting a stealth CE runner together... with a Protech body, which I like so much more than the Viper. The body was painted before being 100% cut, however now I am struggling to cut the body to clear the rear shocks without...

Body was cut... a bit of a hack job in the end really as it has to be removed/put back on easily , will post pics soon. I'm soooo excited as this'll be my first rc10 runner
What I mean is, what is the proper technique when you are trying to jump your car over a hump? I've been experimenting just on my driveway and hitting the grass (has a slight incline), and a few times I got it right and the car sailed over the bump,...

It's a great passing and counter passing technique too 8)
I have some shock bodies that I'm probably going to stip the anodizing off because they are already loosing the color due to shock springs rubbing and general use. I would get them powdercoated but I'm afraid that the coating would interfere with...

If you have access to a drill press this is an excellent kit for polishing
so i converted my original ball bearing gold pan to a mild brushless setup with a stock AE 3300kv brushless and xp BL speed controller that were brand new takeoffs from some newer AE kit. I got a 2s/4000mah battery for it and that cheap flysky...

thanks for that lead. i might have to give them a look.
So i've got a set of plastic rims, im guessing made of nylon, that were painted a long time ago. Needless to say, the paint now looks absolutely horrible and id like to try and remove it.
Any suggestions as to what chemical can do this w/o...

Thanks for posting that guys. I just picked up an RC10 that I plan to freshen up and run it. This will be one of the first things I do.
I did try to use the search, but cannot for the life of me, find the darn thread containing pictures of the original rc10 box art car in its current state(missing the wing) Im thinking of doing a perfict paint/detail job for my mint...
