My Bullet project is still going, just now getting bent
It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas Factory Works website
I'd like to think I'm motivated, I just lack the time. At least I got one build done this year (Pro Radiant). At this rate, I should be done with all my RC plans in only 20 years!
I put almost 2 hours in last night, but nobody here wants to be bored by details and pictures of me painstakingly scoring liquid mask with an X-Acto knife. Zzzzzz.....
My RC enthusiasm dropped off the radar about 6 months ago, about the same time I split up with my girlfriend. (and its the summer so i was mostly getting drunk).
I haven't had much energy for anything hobby related. I have to move from a house with a garage to an overpriced apartment with no storage. I've had to thin my collection and even the cars I said i'd never get rid of are starting to call out to me to be sold. Its so sad. I have a Villian boat that needs motors and electronics, two vintage sail planes that need monokote and new radios, and about 4-5 project RC10's that need me to buy parts for. Money and time is effectively gone...
Parts man, if I could get the parts in fast enough, I would be posting more updates I now have 2 desks with 4 cars/trucks on the go, then that hydro detox time
I lost my motivation/intrust about this time last year when our local track was closed out from under me and I was one of the original six that started it and still got kicked in the privets after 10 years!
My oldest son just moved into his own place and the youngest started high school today with him playing football then hockey plus work and the never ending honey do list I just dont have any time. So when time permits ill be selling off most of my modern and vintage cars and parts, No Im not going away I just don't think I need to hoard them to my self.
Motivation, yes. Focus, no. I have half a dozen cars in pieces in plastic bins (and another on the way that probably will meet the same fate for a while). I get something, drive it a bit, then tear it down, and lose focus and go look for something else. It's like workshop ADD.
i guess my issue is more that i've just shifted my focus on to other things. i only have so much money to spend on......... whatever, and right now it can't be r/c.
Yeah I have some piles of parts ready for builds but once I post the details and kick it off, there is so much pressure to keep the eyeballs on this site updated!
I've been working on my Tamiya HotShot re-re and I think I'm about halfway done. Problem is, I've kind of gotten into a bit of a funk with RC. Just don't feel like doing anything with it right now. I still like reading about what you guys are doing...

MN weather doesn't help much either.
At least you have a team in the playoffs to watch  :( I'm in an RC rut, and I have no team.
Ouch, well you could root for the Wild tonight.
See, in Australia, that has a very very different...
This replaces my old badger, now I can start painting properly again :D!!! It's been a long time since I used a AB but will get some practice in over this week, I have 8 bodies to paint !

What I mean is, what is the proper technique when you are trying to jump your car over a hump? I've been experimenting just on my driveway and hitting the grass (has a slight incline), and a few times I got it right and the car sailed over the bump,...

I am currently putting a stealth CE runner together... with a Protech body, which I like so much more than the Viper. The body was painted before being 100% cut, however now I am struggling to cut the body to clear the rear shocks without...

Body was cut... a bit of a hack job in the end really as it has to be removed/put back on easily , will post pics soon. I'm soooo excited as this'll be my first rc10 runner
I have some shock bodies that I'm probably going to stip the anodizing off because they are already loosing the color due to shock springs rubbing and general use. I would get them powdercoated but I'm afraid that the coating would interfere with...

If you have access to a drill press this is an excellent kit for polishing
so i converted my original ball bearing gold pan to a mild brushless setup with a stock AE 3300kv brushless and xp BL speed controller that were brand new takeoffs from some newer AE kit. I got a 2s/4000mah battery for it and that cheap flysky...
