I've gone back to vintage 1/8 scale 1980s racers. Even the original market was niche. Most people today couldn't even name the vintage 1/8 cars before the Burns and 99.9% didn't own them. So there is zero chance of any re-release rip offs. Exclusivity is the way forward. I also love how damn well made everything in 1/8 is. For example a diff is a proper machined complex metal beauty, like a miniature real car item, rather than a 1/10 toy plastic cog with some washers.
