Visual reference for wide front axles

Post by Bottom Feeder »

I was bored the other day so I decided to take a few pics of the different front axles that can be fitted to the front of an RC10 to vary the width.

Top to bottom are:

7222 wide GT axle - what B4 wheels generally call for
7459 inline T4 axle - a tad wider than stock, needs to be drilled out to 1/8" to use on anything but a T4
6220 standard RC10/T/GT/B2/T2 axle
7221 standard B3/T3 axle - too short for an RC10 steering block without modification, posted mainly for reference

Standard RC10 axles and steering blocks on the left, standard B3 axles and steering blocks on the right.

A hybrid of the RC10 steering block and T4 axle. The T4 axle uses a 3mm kingpin to it needs to be drilled out slightly to 1/8" to use a standard RC10 kingpin.

Hope seeing them 'in the flesh' instead of just a list of part numbers helps someone. :)
