Re: Kyosho now on the re-re bandwagon - Scorpion
I might actually be enticed to buy a Scorpion kit. One thing's for sure; if I do, it definitely won't end up looking like box-art! As far as a re-re Optima goes, I've restored and built a half-dozen in the last 4 years (2 were my buddy's) so I don't feel any itch to lather/rinse/repeat. I would be interested in buying some of the front chin guards, Turbo Optima-style skidplates and a modernized gearbox/slipper system, provided they will work on the original chassis.
Completed projects: CYANide Onroad Optima | Zebra Gold Optima | Barney Optima | OptiMutt RWD Mid

I kinda want to see it at RCX before I order one. Looks fantastic, though.

Im very stoked about the changes. Hoping that a progress gallop will follow. After all,, theyre somewhat related to the scorpion. Really looking forward to seeing what all the new gear box bits will fit as well!

I'd absolutely LOVE to see Option House come back, and offer upgrades as they do Re-Re's (we all know they're going to, right?)
A "Modern take" on the Optima/Javelin, I may have a Crisis.

Just got through reading all the specs on Kyosho America's website (and added my name to their waiting list, just in case I can't find one anywhere else). It sounds like they really knocked this one out of the park; it sounds like more of a tribute to the original than an exact re-release. It really sounds like they want people to build, drive and race them, not just let them languish on a shelf. Kudos, Kyosho! And thanks for keeping the price reasonable as well.
We will, of course, expect a full report and copious photos from anyone who sees it at a show...

Anyone got any A Main coupon codes?
I mean, it's a great price and all, but I'm Scottish, so I'm cheap by birth
Also, any signs they will be selling parts as well??
Would love a couple of things to finish a build of a car I could run, and keep the re-release new in the box for a while.

I haven't seen a release date. Is there one?
