Early RC12i Find...

I recently scored this very clean and possibly never run 12i on FB. Except for some discoloration on the nylon and a very brittle body (just a few small cracks) it’s in perfect condition. I haven’t decided whether to restore it or leave the patina. Anybody know what in the foam/tire glue could cause the plastic to turn brown and will the typical peroxide bath correct the color? Thanks

Nice early 12i. Doesn't look like it has ever been used or even tested.

I recently picked up an early RC12i in good shape and plan to restore it, it will complete my RC12 collection. I say early just because it doesn't include a 4 post radio tray that appeared quickly after the first runs. It has instead 2 radio tray...

Gawd, if I could find someone these days to custom paint my RC bodies for twenty eight bucks, I'd be all over that. Yeh, yeh, yeah, I know about inflation, but man it still sounds cheap.

Does anyone know all the early RC10 parts differences?

I know of the;

Tires
Battery straps
Rear spring cups

and now I think I have found another :lol: In a parts lot I have an RC10 rear arm (just one) which looks exactly like a regular RC10 rear...

I had Tamiya cars as a kid, but never one this early. I am not sure the difference from a Rough Rider / Sand Scorcher, or a Super Champ. I noticed this had 4 front shocks and a Aluminum & Fiberglass chassis, these I haven't seen in other photos. Can...

I want to purchase this car from a seller but not 100% sure its a RC12i original. Was the Rc12i kit ever release in Black Fiberglass ?
I am not sure if they car has anything missing, or modified from what the original should be. Maybe you guys can...

I'm restoring a blast from my past, an Associated RC12i and I need some help please. I am missing the chassis plate stiffener piece that ran down the center of the lower chassis plate. I believe it was made of Kydex???? Can anyone confirm...
