I just recently joined after my 13 year old son who is big into rc things dug up a box containing my old kyosho scorpion buggy that i put away 20 years ago. After finding it he insisted that we getting working. I laughed profusly. Then he proceded to show me all different websites. Wow was I ever suprised that after 30 years people would still be interested in these old cars. It is basically as it was stored some 20 years, differential kit, bearings installed on all 4 wheels and transmission, le mans 360 pt motor. The only parts that need replaced are the two plastic roll bars with have clips broken off. We are now looking forward to following this website. We tried uploading a couple of photos but the file was to big, being cofuser iliterate I couldnt figure how to make them smaller.
Welcome to the forum! Would love to see pics of the scorpion. Hope you can get it figured out. I personally usually just email myself the pics. Easiest way on iOS. I'm sure someone else will offer advise as well.
This is my original RC10 with D&D Graohite chassis plate that I bought back in the day as a school kid that worked my guts off to save for this piece of history. It was so expensive for me that I decided never to use it other than to make sure it...

Where's the tub?
Can't find it sadly. Also it's strange as there is no reason I would have thrown it away.
What has happened over the past thirty years with the Kyosho Scorpion?
For the moment I’m (was) the “lucky” owner of two NIB Kyosho Scorpion’s that differ thirty years in age. So I'm going to build the new one, and compare the parts with the old...

This is a really nice write up with the comparison of new and old parts. I must add one of these to my wish list.
I'm thinking that with the extra grunt that I'm going to be putting through my Turbo Scorpion drivetrain, I should look at putting the old gears in a bag and finding replacements of the same pitch or maybe even replacing with a different...

I've started collecting vintage RC cars, mostly RC10s up to now, but always wanted a Yokomo. I used to race 4wd in the early 90's but never got round to buying and racing a Yokomo of any sort....
I've managed to get my hands on what was...

That is one awesome collection of Yokes. The Yokomo bug has well and truly got to me now. I've got a YZ834B, YZ870C, YZ10 Works '92 and a YZ10 94 and I still want more! :D
Hi everyone. Like many kids growing up in the 80s, I dreamed of owning the ultimate race buggy, an RC10. I've messed around with modern RC cars with my kids, but they don't have the same feel of the vintage cars.
Well sort of new, it was given to me by my brother-in-law 3 years ago, after sitting in a box in his garage for 20 years. I didn't have any interest in it, so it sat on a shelf in my basement until now. From what I can tell, it's the Cadillac...

I just bought a Traxxas Stampede 4 x 4 with lipos and I'd like the RC10 to be able to keep up with it. Brushless and lipos seemed to be the only way. I've had a number of people say to keep it original. But, I figure I can always put the original...
