TUB CHASSIS OUT OF CARBON AND GLASSFIBER

Post by Jerzi »

Today I started to make an tub chassis (like fibre lyte one) made out of carbon and glassfiber. In the pics you can see what is going on. Thickness arround 3mm so if everything goes right it will be an very stiff chassis.
If any question please ask.

Now it has been taken of from the mold.
Sick job was that.
The carbon is so stiff so I had to take all my muscles in use...
Ok, then I make a line with the silver pen and cut it. That was also pain in the bottom.
Now it is rougly cut and no finishing yet has been done.
Need an tool that I dont have.
Iam really happy to own this one.
I have an idea how to make the front chassis part but first i do this one ready.
Somebody will ask the question how much lighter is it now. It is heavier but looks much cooler.
But the stiffnes is way much better.
Now i really can say that i have an tub chassis for the rc10 :D
Question please ask.
