Re: Sending positive thoughts to The Husting Family...
great news, gene pulled through it. he's a machine. here's a message posted yesterday by romulus at golden years rc museum...
"GREAT NEWS TODAY FROM JULIE HUSTING on GENE'S HEALTH:
Your kind thoughts and prayers have been working. We took dad off of the ventilator and medications yesterday and he has responded remarkably well. I spent last night in the hospital with him and he slept peacefully all night. He ate a little bit today. His blood pressure is actually strong which was unexpected. He's a trooper! We have been reading your kind words to him. They mean a lot to him and the family.
Keep those prayers and loving / healing thoughts coming. Ata Boy Gene!"

This can be good and bad. Having gone through the death of both my parents and witnessing others, they always have a spike of energy before a sharp decline till passing. I truly hope that's not the case here and he pulls through.littleVETTE wrote:"GREAT NEWS TODAY FROM JULIE HUSTING on GENE'S HEALTH:

Re: Sending positive thoughts to The Husting Family...
I hope he is in the clear, strong guy thats for sure. I was looking for some info on him to satisfy my curiosity and there is no wikipedia entry for Gene.
AE has one and his name is mentioned many times, but he should have a page of his own. Any idea on when and where he was born? Schooling, jobs etc?
I know he was a very early racer, and what his role is/was with AE. But... what lead him to all of this?

Excellent idea Diamond Dave. Perhaps a thread to collect info on Gene, and then once enough facts are collected a page dedicated to his honor could be posted. When Gene is up and around perhaps he could add to it.
Thoughts and prayers to Gene and his family. You have made a real difference in the RC World!!!
