Positive offset 12mm hex wheels JRXT options?
Curious if others no of high offset wheels for the JRXT. Plenty of adapters to make them hex drive but as we all know offset unique. I am aware of all the options of converting to different hubs and such on these for buggy wheels. None of those address the offset issue.
I should probably know this having built 687 XT's over the years but wonder if missing any wheels out there given the stock of Junior T and JRXT wheels is all but non existent these days and expensive when there.

Jeff might still have some conversion offset wheels.
RPM makes a 12mm hex crawler wheel, with wide offset. Being for crawler tires, they are similar to buggy width.
For hex wheels, Tamiya Blitzer rears might also be an option. The wheels, body, and gear ratio are the main differences between the Bear Hawk buggy and the Blitzer family trucks.

Ahh yes, I recall those too. I was hoping there was something made in the last 10 years or relative recent history we could find. None will be exact of course but modern stadium truck wheels or even XX, LXT etc have too much offset.

Re: Positive offset 12mm hex wheels JRXT options?
I think the only thing that would even be close to that might be some re release tamiya wheels. The wheels have changed a lot since the mid-early 90's the arms just kept getting longer. Something suited for a re release blackfoot or other Tamiya might be a good direction to look.

I'll poke around there. The rears would probably need a quick pass of drill for the SAE axles. Fronts would need a bearing adapter they sell everywhere with the SAE bearings shoved in it with a little trimming. Need them to hold modern tires as well.

2.2 truck tires are pretty common, a bit of ca should be able to stick modern 2.2 tires to them fairly easily. Blackfoot extreme wheels appear to be hex drive instead of funky 5 tube of the og.

Those look promising. Right type of offset and even a period correct look. I'll order a set up and report back after the results. I think those in combination with these we may have a cheap modern option.

Tires are easy enough.
Proline, JConcepts, Panther, Schumacher, and Traxxas still make them. Probably some others as well.
NIP vintage tires still show up on Ebay often enough as well. I bought three sets of Losi rears a while back.

Re: Positive offset 12mm hex wheels JRXT options?
I am way confused on what we are looking for because it was mentioned that we don’t have fronts but also in the title you want 12mm which are rears. Ours don’t meet other criteria mentioned above anyway but to make it short- the fronts we sold were a universal metric 11mm wheel and you converted the car to a 5mm front axle to use them. These fronts are only available in white which doesn’t match any of our rears
It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas

Re: Positive offset 12mm hex wheels JRXT options?
Yeah, we strayed off course. I was looking for a cheap modern 12mm hex type wheel that may have close to JRXT offset. We may have something in these Blackfoot Extreme wheels, combined with the adapters I posted. Also nice these Blackfoot wheels have an 80's look about them and colorful.
As to tires, yes plenty, I was just pointing out something like original width Blackfoot wheels would not work with modern tires. Visually these Blackfoot extreme wheels look like a standard 2.2 truck wheel.

Also don't your rears use special wheel nuts? Or am I thinking about Pro-Lines?GoMachV wrote: ↑Fri Jul 15, 2022 9:29 pmI am way confused on what we are looking for because it was mentioned that we don’t have fronts but also in the title you want 12mm which are rears. Actually would just uses these in front. Could shove the JRX bearings in I bet. Or find the metric bearing that is close to stock axles.

That is an interesting way to do bearings, that is no where near the correct load direction for those thrust bearings however...RCveteran wrote: ↑Fri Jul 15, 2022 9:15 pm Those look promising.
