Haven't done much while I waited for the shocks to arrive. I wanted to do associated .71/1.02 bottom loaders but they proved to be hard to locate. Found these stockers and I'm very pleased! No leaks and very smooth!

Looks fantastic! I just love the all carbon look. Reminds me of racing a TB EVO,,, beautiful. Im working on some carbon parts too, but its slow going. Isnt it strange how nice the stock shocks can feel after being properly bled? Probably most folks ditched them because they are a pain to build and bleed properly. After spending a good hour on mine, they actually compress about 90% and are smooth. Problem was getting JUST ENOUGH oil bled out to allow near full compression, and still be smooth.

I decided to try a new method for the belt situation. I placed a screwdriver and needlenose pliers next to it and left it unattended for a few weeks. Unfortunately nothing has happened yet....but I have a good feeling it will!

Replace the needlenose pliers with sidecutters - That´ll scare the crap out of it

Purdy.

Where did you get the upper deck made? It looks like a repro of the Jammin' deck.

Yes, it's a Jammin copy- I cut it myself with a pin router, same with the towers and chassis. I'm using DA Graphite material, the real deal 8)

Well, kind of. The pin router traces an original perfectly  that's how they did it before CNC. I have a pic of the old Composite Craft pin router which was the inspiration

Sure beats trying to do it with a dremel and a cutting wheel. Although, I did run across somebody making their own pin router setup with a dremel (http://modelshipwrights.wikispaces.com/MINIATURE+OVERHEAD+PIN+ROUTER)...

My first was with a dremel, the fixture I tried wasn't steady enough and the dremel lacked the torque to really cut the thick stuff but it did prove the concept

This is the pin router thread, I still need to take better pics tho. I'll be building a new one when I rebuild the hobby room

Very impressive.

Maybe I should talk to some of my stoner friends and see if they have a bong that I could cut carbon fiber with
