Is it standard to be 48 or 64 pitch?

Thanks!

Stock is 48p, but you could convert to 64p courtesy of Thorp.

Stupid question. I see the 64p set on Ebay but it's for the GT. I have never owned a GT. Are the trans the same?

GT has a 2.6:1 ratio, won't work on a 2.25:1 stealth trans.

What would be the main benefit of 64p? Smoother operation?

Should be smoother but I can't say how much of a benefit the Thorp 64p gears actually produced. Main reason for using 64p gears is you can fine tune gear ratios...but that doesn't really come into play with the gears inside the transmission, only the one's outside. (spur/pinion)
