stickboy007 those wheels are probably cut versions of the stockers.. way too thin compared to the narrow yz10 wheels..

Yokomo Z-500 narrow wheels
But these look way thinner than the ones I have (I have both stock and narrow).. Maybe it is just me..

Decided to tackle the ball diffs tonight and I'm thoroughly flustered.

Ive assembled hundreds of diffs. The rings on these are plain old onroad/original rc10 style rings. The diff balls that I would assume it uses are 1/8, but they look like they are too small. When I assemble the diff, they are too small. Hmm, so let's see what the archives say. 3mm? 3mm is smaller than 1/8, how does that work?

Can someone confirm if the balls are supposed to be 1/8 or 3mm?

Somethin ain't right

I messed with em a bit more and from what I can tell the width of the pulley where the balls sit is wider than the balls. How I don't know. I can always grind the pulley down but something just ain't right!

I pulled apart my nitro yr4 diffs to see what I could see and they are very different! Look like stealth size rings and balls

I ordered a set of 3mm balls, I'll give em a try lol

For Yokomo off road models YZ-870c through to Works '93, 1/8 diff balls are used.

Yokomo 1994 YZ10 and Pavidis models used 3/32 size diff balls.

Thrust washer balls are 1/16 for all models.

Vin

Edit: I had a brain fade and wrote 3mm diff balls when they are actually 1/8 size.
