In the past i was using nicad AA batteries and you have to put the batteries in that tray thing. When i was testing it i was using Nimh AA'sworks92 wrote:Sorry, i never get any troubles with my KO's.
If the batteries positions and connections are good..., you got to go deeper and disassemble it
Did you use Nimh pack in the past ?

I think the on off switch works? I think because i tested it with multimeter with the on/off switch turn on and the batteries in the Radio this is what i got. Let me know what you think?DennisM wrote:Next to check is the sliding on/off switch. Disassemble the transmitter and give the on/off switch a good blast of Lectra clean or another sprayable alcohol, while operating it. WITHOUT batteries attached.
When the alcohol has vaporized You can apply the batteries and give it a try.

Re: Ko Ex1 addiction
Before You proceed, take 8 new non-rechargeable batteries, this will give a good 12 volt supply which the transmitter was designed for. - what about the bridge between the two pcb´s. The charging socket might have a circuit that cuts the battery supply for the circuit board, could this be faulty? Dismantle all the PCB´s and check for corrosion and obvious faulty components.

Re: Ko Ex1 addiction
KOs that I've disassembled in the past usually have a separate internal jack for a wired rechargeable pack
to which the rear charge jack goes.
It won't have connection to the spring contacts for the 8xAA cradle;
not sure if there's diodes to drop the Vs from 8xAAs vs the wired input.

Thanks!
Do you mind taking a picture of how you plug the battery connector to the radio?

Here it is,
hope it could help you, sorry for the bad quality:

if you worried about flashing the Tx by pluging the battery the wrong way, don't.
it will only doesn't work.
thank's to Ko for the neutral wire in the middle.

Re: Ko Ex1 addiction
Ok, I just connected the battery to the radio. I didn`t noticed that in the manual it says which pin is the positive and which one is the negative.
Can I leave the lipo connected to the radio when store at home at no using it?
