Anyone have more info on these?

Post by THE H.P FREAK »

HI!... I just acquired both of these items in a RC10 DS lot buy. 1st is a clear uncut body. It is made by PROTO-FORM. Part # is 1412. It is called a GTS-1 Aurora. It also has DS formed into the top of the windshield. I have no decals with it and don't know what it's supposed to look like when it's finished. Any info or pics would be greatly appreciated.

2nd item is a pair of billet aluminum blue anodized RC10 DS rear "A" arms. Don't know who made them. Would like to have some more info on them as well. Are they rare? I've never seen a pair before.

Do a search for Oldsmobile Aurora 1996
Arms may be GPM

This was the first one that was campaigned by Brix Racing. There was a later version as driven by Jack Baldwin with Hot Wheels livery, but I wasn't able to find any descent pictures of it.

HI!... Mrlexan, thanks for the pics. I really like the Hot wheels one. Wish I could find some decals like that. I also need to figure out how the rear spoiler is supposed to be cut out. :?:

HI!... Well I found Hot Wheels decals. I tried searching the web for 2 hours and couldn't come up with anything for the Proto-Form 1412 Aurora GTS-1 body. I sent Proto-Form a e-mail about getting some info on this body but they are closed till the New Year. I just need to know how to set up the rear spoiler. It seems that there are two pieces I need to cut out and mount to the larger spoiler but I want to be sure before I start cutting. Anyone on here ever have one of these bodies?

got pics? (of the HW decals)

I've got at least two of these bodies, but they are in storage. They are new and uncut, so not much help.

HI!... It's just the HOT WHEELS decals. They are all over ebay. I think I'm going to try to copy the HW car you posted. Shouldn't be too hard.

Charles Morgan ran the Oldsmobile Aurora at the 24hrs of Daytona in 1996. My friend was on his pit crew for a couple of years.

I have a complete set of those GPM DS arms. From my understanding the fronts are much rarer than the rears but overall they're both really uncommon. I bought mine new when I started a DS build.... 10+ years ago.

Hi!... The rears I have are NIP. Both my rc10 DS's will be shelf queens so I have no use for them. I'll most likely put them up on Ebay.

Any decent picture will do, it doesn't need to be going down.
