Google search "anodize masking", there are a few ways but pretty easy  I was able to simulate it on accident by leaving a sticker behind once, ended up gold under the sticker and black around it lol

for those nose tubes, they are not masked. They start life as black anodized hex stock or tube. then they are turned on a lathe, with a gentle taper so that the complete silver areas are slightly thinner that the minor diameter of the hex stock. the end result is the effect you see.

I keep looking at all the goodness JC is coming out with and I have to say my wife is going to hate someone after I get myself a Xmas gift.
I would definately like to see a battery brace as well. Current plan is to use a B4 carbon piece but would love to see a dedicated design for the Classic.

If you look at the products JConcepts makes for other vehicles you could reasonably arrive at the conclusion that a battery brace is a realistic possibility. Of course if one materializes you guys will see it here first!

As for a wide arm kit; AE currently offers the wide front arms. I don't see JConcepts taking that project into consideration since it already exists. Also, that would involve injection molding. Again, using the current products as a guide you can reasonably conclude that the preference is to stick with machined parts like aluminum and carbon offerings. If the concern is that AE only offers the wide front arms in black, I'd say be patient. (I have NO inside info) If you look at the chassis they released and all the parts they are producing it doesn't make much sense to retool everything for a limited production run, which is already sold out. If I were a betting man I'd probably wager that there will be more to come from AE and that all the parts will be the same color. Let me restate this.... I have NO inside info!!!! That's just my opinion based on what was released and some hints dropped in publicized interviews with key AE personnel.

Let me add that the pictures I posted of the new parts were taken with my phone and then emailed to my laptop for resizing. They definitely don't capture the quality of the stuff!

The same thing works with dying plastic parts. There are plenty of creative lacrosse stick heads online that were done that way.

Here's a copule shots of the parts installed. You will see the blue motor plate with the silver wing tubes on the worlds car and the black motor plate with the black wing tubes on the classic. Both cars have the blue steering system with the worlds car having the silver nose tubes and the classic sporting the black nose tubes.

And a couple shots of the complete cars. Hopefully this gives everyone an idea of how the parts all look together and how the different colors look.
