My cougar club10 nostalgia
Re: My cougar club10 nostalgia
So... I got myself a second car:
The chassis on this one seems somewhat less abused (doesn't look twisted, we will see) though it has a couple extra holes. And it looks like someone lost a screw and figured he could put just any old screw in there. and the front tower isn't assembled correctly. In short it looks like someone had a few ideas to test but didn't really know how to go about doing it properly.
I'll clean it up later, but positives and negatives so far
+ ballraced steering
+ bling/ish alu roller rear axles
+ a bunch of wheels and tires
+ a few spares, including a transmission belt, a couple steering arms, a couple C2 control arms
+ extra bodies
- spare arms for the right side only
- extra chassis holes
- some screws that don't seem like they belong
I'm hoping there's a slipper clutch under the covers and no missing balls in the diff or the thrust bearings (unlike the club10 above)
about that, are the correct size thrust bearings available from other sources than schumacher? is it a standard size?

Re: My cougar club10 nostalgia
Red chassis and alu roller driveshafts suggest a 'Team' spec car. The spare spur gears all look like they are for a slipper, so fingers crossed.

bumpers? don't really remember those, a club 10 storm or touring item perhaps? or are you referring to the U322 front end?

Re: My cougar club10 nostalgia
As groomi suggested its a cougar 2 team, but looks like previous owner broke one of the front arms and couldn't find the correct ones a replaced them both with cougar/club 10 arms.
Good score though with the correct arms a new body and a rebuild/clean will look great once again.
