JK's re-re Racer build
First off - I am building this to race, therefore, some parts are not period correct.
We don't have a vintage class anywhere local, so I race against modern cars.
Plans:
re-re car
white stealth tranny
B4 top shaft w/vented slipper
White CE front arms
B2 MIP CVDs
AE 12mm big bore shocks
Custom towers
Worlds steering
Lunsford ti turnbuckles
Tekin RS
FrSky 2.4 receiver
FrSky hack module in Futaba 1024 PCM radio
Novak Ballistic 17.5
Airtronics 94258 servo

Re: JK's re-re Racer build
Nice list! I can't wait to see the pics
The thought of a WrereIN (what's re released is new
) car racing against the modern buggies is quite an appealing thought
Too bad there is no tracks anywhere relatively close to me so doing that here is kinda pointless
But..
PICS!! We want PICKS!!

Re: JK's re-re Racer build
Oooh fiberglass worlds car shock tower, where did you pick that up? I'm guessing you are using a rear to match? I'm looking for some of those for a white plastic t2 tubed b1.5 project I have

Re: JK's re-re Racer build
Just curious, why fiberglass vs carbon fibre on the shock towers? Since you cut them yourself anyways. Not criticizing, just wondering. I'm guessing to make it more period correct?

Re: JK's re-re Racer build
I like CF on black pans or black parts cars, but gold/white the CF just doesnt look right to me. I dont mind mixing colors that much, but something about gold/white/G10 "makes" the car correct to me.
Plus, my current CE runner using CF is under weight, so not worried about the couple extra grams G10 is over CF.

Jk's been racing for a long time. He has helped me with info on other "out of date" vehicles that I have. He has a lot of good info from experience.
