That was...odd. I can't comprehend the thrill of "driving" that thing. Might be a good warm-up routine for the Olympic hammer throw, maybe.

Looking at it again I think there is a platform on the pole for him to jump onto... less humorous then imagining him having to leap over the line but... oh well

I would imagine he is guiding it until centrifugal force takes over then getting out of the way on his little perch.

these tethered cars just reminded me of when i was kid and flew control line airplanes. those things were a blast to fly.
