Thats mine exactly, but I didnt get pics because its still in the pack waiting to be installed on a dog! Mines got the little springy washers, like a mid slipper assembly. So, is that screw then, a reverse thread?

Ok, im your huckleberry,, going to go check!

Sorry folks. Not wanting to damage the screw or the shaft, I applied as much torque and pressure as I dared and nothing budged either way. I suppose figuring out which way that gear turns in the trans would hint as to what direction the threads would be, but I havent touched an optima in 10 years,, so I have no idea.
