The Bandits are very underestimated simply because of their name. If you install carbon fiber or G10 shock towers with more shock mounting holes then it really changes these cars. Traxxas use to make really good race cars and the bandit dates back to those cars.

I can see that as this past Wednesday I picked up a TRX1. That is a nice car and you can see the history in the layout. This one has been adopted and is headed to a new owner that can do it justice.

Time has been limited so I have not ran this buggy yet. I did however disassemble the rear of the new Bandit this weekend to install the remainder of the bearing kit. I had read that these cars had only Bushings. Well that is not the case, at least as far as the gearbox is concerned on the most recent models. So it is now time to get the battery charged and start playing around with this buggy.

The old Traxxas cars/trucks were awesome. They had a good reputation, but unfortunately just never took off like AE or Losi did. The rustler/stampede/bandit platform too me are basically entry level versions of the old Traxxas race vehicles. They share a lot of parts and if I remember correctly the shock towers of the TCP and SRT bolt on for better performance.
