Ok thanks. I may have an imbalance of UJ to outdrives in that case.

I have had poorly heat treated outdrives a few times that were butter soft- but it's pretty rare

Sorry I did not mean that to sound like an advert. More that I do not have enough 1/4" UJs

I got some 20 odd year old UJ on my runner. Still going strong. They must be made of that unobtainium stuff the shocks were made of.
