extended front tower
Can I get a top down picture of the front shock tower that accepts the 1.02 shocks.
Preferable with a ruler next to it for size reference.
Additional pictures of it will be helpful too so i can properly design one. They may be hard to find but I bet I could have them made.

Re: extended front tower
Pretty sure he's looking for a tower for a buggy nose plate not a WOIN is build. Last I checked RCCW doesn't make those.RC104ever wrote:No need, they can be bought at rccarbonworks.com

Re: extended front tower
your kidding right??? was told those were for the 0.71" shocks
someone here done misinformed me if that is true.
thank god i didnt buy the rc10t front tower trying to make a 1.02 work then.

this one will run the 1.02 shocks? only asking this b/c i dont know the intended mounting hole with this tower. If its the farthest outside for 0.89, then the farthest inside should barely accept the 1.02 at full length.
The car this part is for is definitely not stock. I'm all over the place with parts on it.
If it doesnt work, again looking for some pictures.

Re: extended front tower
yes, it says 0.89, thats why I asked about the mounting hole?
Its only a 5mm-6mm difference in total lenght. The hole distance might cover it.

Re: extended front tower
If your designing towers anyway, make a larger than needed piece of cardboard and mount it as a shock tower. Measure a full extended and full compressed shock of your liking. Measure from the center arm hole at full droop with the extended measurement and draw and arc on the cardboard. Then, compress the arm, and using the compressed measurement of the shock, draw a other arc. Where those points intersect gives you the full range of shock and travel. Make a few holes around that one for adjustability.

It's more like an 11mm-12mm difference between a GT front shock and a B4 front shock.DMAT wrote:yes, it says 0.89, thats why I asked about the mounting hole?

Re: extended front tower
that's not how it works. the bottom row is for .71's, top is for .89's. you need to make a taller tower to put 1.02 holes up higher.DMAT wrote:this one will run the 1.02 shocks? only asking this b/c i dont know the intended mounting hole with this tower. Re: extended front tower
thanks for the info scr8p.
guess ill just design my own. I was wanting it to be close to the andy's version you talked about. I can just use the stock tower as a base starting point.I've got a car tore apart at moment and ill be bringing up to work to model it. That will make an interesting picture once its all done.
I really wish I had inventor at work. Would be nice to assign each part a material so it could prerender it before hand since I've not tried rendering using autocad.
