Yes I knew the Horizon part. So I guess that is a solid reason for no logo as it is. I guess as it was lighter AE had no choice but to copy it. So that kind of started the trend. But I still like to see a metal nose just because I like my rose tinted shades

Re: Early TQ10 build (Chassis for now)
i was thinking about it on the ride home, and i kinda remember noony saying (years ago) that the short arm tq10 he bought new had a fully countersunk chassis. so i searched to confirm it and found his post about it.
so a fully countersunk chassis can go either way, short or wide front. just depends on what you want. there's definitely more short arm cars out there though.

Re: Early TQ10 build (Chassis for now)
Interesting. So a short arm would have trailing axles, but how about a long arm? In line axles?
BTW sorry for the technical interruption reg.

yup. widetrack arms, inline axles.
when you figure out what route you want to go with yours (short or wide), hit me up for that 4 hole tower if you need it.

Here is a pic of the early and late TQ10's.
The "early" short arm has the countersunk chassis with a gold motor plate.
The "late" long arm has less countersunk chassis with a black motor plate.

This is how these were built in 1989. I raced the short arm and my brother raced the long arm, both with bushings.

Re: Early TQ10 build (Chassis for now)
Take a look at the chassis you have installed on the long arm car, just after the kick-up you can see where the chassis had been partially milled, then removed and re-jigged (nose is cut perpendicular to the chassis plane too) the other chassis is fully CNC routed- also, the offset battery holes were templated by the 86-88 pans, after that they corrected the offset holes and the middle nose hole (at the bellcranks) which served no purpose on the TQ.
