NOBODY here talked about race/ethnicity here except for you if you want to talk about things going in the wrong direction. Let's be crystal clear on that point.
Quoted from your own post, bolded the bit that's important:
I often wonder about undercurrents here in homely "safe" MN where many refugees from known terrorist harboring African nations have settled.
Why mention Africa at all? The implication is that any nation in Africa that had terrorism happen and whose refugees went to the USA has "sleeper" cells of terrorists inside those refugees. If that was not what you wanted to say, then I obviously misunderstood.

What I meant by the 2001 comment is that these guys lived in the US for over a decade. They are not some "refugee sleeper terrorists" (they came to the US as kids), they got their radical ideas while living in the US. Nobody noticed anything.

I had written out a rant on some other things said in this thread, but decided not to post it. Let's just say that this attack and some things coming up in the aftermath raise a whole lot of hairy questions that are not limited to the terrorists themselves :( . Let's hope that the proper things are done to avoid worse in the future, but I fear for what will actually happen...

Also noticing the whole manhunt has almost eclipsed information on the wounded. Let's not forget them.

My second post on this and I am (we all are) still moved by this disgusting attack on the U.S. people. Australians share in your pain, we both share so many similarities and the idea of an attack such as this on the general public is too hard to comprehend.
Personaly when I see these (graphic) images it shocks me to think of the world we live in.
Again my prayeres go out to not just those directly affected but also the population who are forced to live with this kind of thing.

I HATE TERRORISM!!!!!

My thoughts are first with the families of those that lost their lives. Next (and in my mind in a way worse place to be) are those that were injured with life long impact. Every day to know your arm or leg (or what ever life long injury) was a result of some thing you had no direct control or part in will be with you for the rest of your life. Trying to figure out why could make one mad. A few times in my life I came across this feeling that what happens some times has no purpose. In some ways its easier to know that perhaps one was responsible. Only so that you feel you own your life. But in instances like these what are these poor people to think. Invariably they will at times think what if I had been 30 seconds later or earlier. Or all the other what ifs. Its a horrible sentence. Worse in some ways than death.

Huge sense of relief that the manhunt is over. Huge thanks to all law enforcement involved and their determination to locate and apprehend this terrible individual responsible.

You still want to insinuate racism about my post? Or are you man enough to have a logical discussion based on facts?

It really takes some balls to come in here as if you are affronted about what we are saying about terrorism on OUR shores when you live in Europe. Did you behave the same when the psycho shot and massacred people in Norway last year?

Problem is that we ALL know where the blunt of this cowardly hatred of the US comes from. It's the PC types who use the race card when a spade is called a spade. Cultural and ethnic backgrounds are two different things. The same two things that are also picked apart and taken out of context by the PC.

They're not going to read him his Miranda rights.

Yeah I saw that too which is very concerning. Not sure I understand the details of the justification why they are not going to read them. :?

The guy doesn't deserve to be read his rights. He gave them away when he became a terrorist. Anyone who thinks this guy should be treated with respect is a fool and you are a part of what's wrong with this country.

he's not being mirandaized for 48 hours under federal special circumstances.

He still has rights, but Miranda "waivers" are used when potential imminent threats are identified-

BTW, he will be treated better than some kings through our justice system-

What would befall him in other cultures for being accused out this would be unimaginable-
