New finds I didn't know I had.

Post by biff85ta »

I thought I had found most of the stuff from my recent huge purchase and although I do not know exactly what is in every box or container I was sure there was nothing left hidden. I was out in the garage setting up to do a little airbrush work and started looking at this little plano tote that has a bunch of old robinson shock oil.

I then noticed the grey part on the bottom looked to be a drawer so I opened it and found this

I know what most of it is but the silver shock I have no clue about. I am hoping someone can clue me in. I do also want to note this is part of my personal stash. Here is a close up pic of two of them.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

They look like Kyosho Platinums to me, the bottom part especially. Not as good as the Golds, but looks like you have a set of those, too. :)

I had been looking through everything hoping to find those golds. I have and optima mid that needs shock. He had a set of trinity purple shocks on it but the fronts are in pieces and I wanted the golds to go back on it. I knew he had them and I knew he did not get rid of anything so it was driving me nuts as to where they had disappeared to.

According to rule #6 in the RC collectors handbook, You´ll have to let these shocks go.
The rule states - If the majority of Your interest lays within AE, You can not stock more than one set of kyosho shocks. And that better be SPORTS!

I´m sorry, but rules are rules.

Well lets see here. I have four losi's, three associated's, two kyosho's, and a dominator. I am really more of an rc guy with slightly vintage tastes. I like it all and if I had to pick a brand to lean to it would be losi but I am by no means anywhere near brand loyal.

You can toss the dominator this way, it feels lonely at your place. Put a set of kyosho platinums in the box while your at it, gives you more room in your tool box for things you need.

The dominator will probably be leaving me. I do not have a use for it as I am already racing enough stuff and there is nowhere to race oval around here. I just haven't got to listing any of the custom works stuff I have yet.
