Is anyone running a 1/8 ESC in a 1/10 vehicle?

Post by RC104ever »

Just wondering what would be the benefits of running say a Mamba Monster ESC vs. a Mamba Max in a 1/10 scale vehicle? I'm guessing the only real benefit would be less heat and the ability to run bigger Lipos?

Someone enlighten me please!

Yep. less heat is the most popular reason here locally with the short course trucks. Had a few been doing it for the last couple of years with good results. Most popular thing now is having to put bearings in motors 8) .

Would it in theory also be able to provide better current flow due to the larger wiring? I'm not saying you would necessarily feel the difference, just saying it might be better.
