SRB brass idler gear.
This one's for people who run their SRBs. Take one top gear and shaft (the one the spur gear bolts to) and Dremel off the excess. Or find someone to part it off in a lathe for you. Deburr the cut end of the shaft and you now have a brass idler gear. I run one in my SRB and it's fine. The first gear in the picture is the standard plastic idler gear. The second gear in the picture shows what to do. The shaded area is removed. Both gears have 20 teeth. Hope this helps, Chris.
Chris.

Re: SRB brass idler gear.
Or drill the side of the case which will give you a pto to run the front drive of the 4wd system that everyone wants to build
Very cool idea, just like the metal idlers on the 6 gear are the same as the output gears.

Re: SRB brass idler gear.
You're right about the 4WD idea. I have some spare top gears/shafts and gearboxes. Chain drive sounds good. Hmmmmmmmmmmm.
