Re: Alluminum & Carbon fiber Build
Ya those are Pargu rims (sans holes) and Andy's bulk head.
Having some trouble with it though. The Carbon RC transmission brace does not fit the bulk head. The hole placements are off in both width and length.
I'm leaning more towards the transmission brace being the culprit. Perhaps I'll try to find an AE CF brace. Also I don't see where one would mount the tubes for the wing. I think this might actually be for a truck.
Shiny=better

Re: Alluminum & Carbon fiber Build
For the wing I'd pick up a pair of polished aluminum wing mount stubs made by companies like Bud's and I'm sure others. Maybe someone can post a pic of an example. If not, I have a set at home I can post a picture of. They mount to the back of the rear tower. They'd add to the theme very nicely.

Re: Alluminum & Carbon fiber Build
I tried my andys bulkhead for fitment and found it was fine for width and length of the brace but the height was off by 1/8" or so. Easily spaced. Sounds like you may have an incorrect brace.

Re: Alluminum & Carbon fiber Build
The Andy's bulkheads are the same height as the early RC10 bulkheads. You'll need to use spacers between the bulkhead and the transmission brace in order to use a Stealth transmission.gomachv wrote:I tried my andys bulkhead for fitment and found it was fine for width and length of the brace but the height was off by 1/8" or so. Looking forward to seeing this one when it's done.

Will do on the spacers for the brace. I'd love to see one of those alloy wing mounts.

Re: Alluminum & Carbon fiber Build
Sorry, quick cell phone pic.
The wing wire sticks out the top and is held with a set screw. They stick out straight behind the rear tower.

I am using it with a 6 gear and it "s" shaped the plastic brace before I realized it was not fitting properlyaeiou wrote:The Andy's bulkheads are the same height as the early RC10 bulkheads. Re: Alluminum & Carbon fiber Build
That's what i noticed as well, never actually connected it to the transmission its self. Just the bulk head. Chris (of rogue element) mentions mapping his parts that he reverse engineers. Probably using one of those fancy Mittotoyo measuring centers or the like. With out some thing like that I could see that errors could creep in overtime.gomachv wrote:I am using it with a 6 gear and it "s" shaped the plastic brace before I realized it was not fitting properlyaeiou wrote:The Andy's bulkheads are the same height as the early RC10 bulkheads.
