6 gear problem
Hi everyone. New to the forum. Dug my old 1990 gold pan out of the attic a couple weeks ago and started cleaning it up. Actually it was in pretty great shape! (really only raced indoors). Of course the trans seemed a little rough so I took it apart, cleaned it up and put it back together. It seemed smoother afterwards when just hand spinning the wheels, but when I put power to it, it seems like the motor side wheel is getting more power and continues spinning a second longer than the spur gear side wheel after releasing throttle. It's been a while since I've worked one this car but this doesn't seem right. Any idea what I did wrong?
Re: 6 gear problem
Hi JMK. Open the tranny and take a look. May be there is a little thing that is touching pinions or spurs.

Re: 6 gear problem
You need to tighten your differential a bit more. That should solve the problem.
